My diet

Endless questions about what I eat & my exercise regime.
Truth is, I don’t do a lot! Some of you may think what I eat is a little extreme, boring or whatever but I’ve grown very accustomed to it and it works well for me.
I chose to change my diet beginning of this year after health problems last year. I was advised professionally to do so to boost my immune system and energy levels. I try to eat a lot of protein and minimal carbs. It has not (as of yet) made me lose any weight. I’m not sure whether it will either, but that’s not the point of it.

So.

Breakfast:

2 poached eggs & one small slice of wholemeal toast
OR: Mixed fruit (melon, banana, apple, strawberries) & low fat yogurt

Small glass of orange or cranberry juice.

Lunch:

Ryvita’s with homous or tofu with either cucumber or tomatos, sprinkled with a little pepper.

OR: Mixed leaf salad with additions of tomatos, cucumber, chicken, mackrel, spiced salmon (whatever I’m in the mood for) and a little low fat dressing which compliments the meat.

Dinner:

Fresh chicken breast alongside a small mixed leaf salad or steamed vegetables.

Sometimes if I have a chicken salad for lunch I’ll have fish but I usually have chicken for dinner.

Snacks:

WATER. Plenty of.
Another glass of cranberry juice. (it’s very good for us, girls)
Chocolate
Fruit

I’m still trying to develop my diet and introduce new foods. Up until this year I’ve eaten whatever and whenever (as a kid I suppose you can do this!) however now as I’ve got older, my body was obviously not coping. Fortunately I’m surrounded by some people who also eat very well and I am learning a lot from them.
I drank a lot of alcohol last year (very much of the poisonous kind) which also had impacts for my health so now I am very attentive to what I drink and how much I drink of it when I go out.

As far as exercising goes, I don’t do a lot. I work within sports so I am generally active, however I practice yoga within my own home regularly and if I’m in the mood I’ll do some light cardio and muscle toning exercises. As I build my strength and energy levels up I’ll gradually be able to do more regarding exercise - I don’t want to push myself too far to begin with.

I don’t know if this will help anyone. My diet suits me and will not necessarily suit you, but to whoever was interested, hope you enjoyed reading!
